CFMOTO 800MT Explore test - Bike Rider Magazine

Check out the write up of the all new 800MT Explore from Bike Rider Magazine

What the CF Moto shows is that the old prejudice of ‘it’s made in China’ is no longer warranted or acceptable. If you could ride a bike with a blindfold (I know, that would be stupid, but I’m sure you know where I’m going…), then you’d be hard-pressed to know where this bike was made or who by. In fact, you wouldn’t even need a blindfold as the switchgear, screen and fit ‘n’ finish of the CF Moto is so good that you’d only need to remove the stickers to confuse most people. Whether it’s the fact that KTM has had some input into what machines can be produced with their engine in them or whether it’s simply the fact that the Chinese manufacturers are moving forward with immense speed, I’m not sure. But you only need to look at how well the Chinese-built electric (and ICE) cars are being received to answer the question – they really are a force to be reckoned with in the same way the Japanese overwhelmed the British motorcycle industry. If you’re looking for an adventure tourer, especially if you’re under 6 feet tall and don’t want to break the bank, then the CF Moto is certainly worth your attention. Okay, I rode the bike for a few days, so I can’t comment on reliability, but what I can say is that it looked well put together and presented. It was certainly fun to ride and even looked great parked up in the shed.
