The Suzuki V-STROM 1050RJ builds on the proven 1050 platform with a stronger focus on real-world adventure riding. It introduces a 21-inch front wheel, Gravel traction mode, and switchable rear ABS — features that make it more capable and confident on unsealed roads while still being a comfortable, stable long-distance tourer.

Compared with the 1050RR, the RJ is more off-road oriented. It features a longer wheelbase, wider handlebars, steel footpegs, a stronger drive chain, a solid-mount seat, aluminium engine protection, a new high-mount front fender and a standard protection bar. Suspension travel and ground clearance are increased, and a smoke sports windscreen improves visibility.


CAPABILITY & ELECTRONICS

The V-STROM 1050RJ uses Suzuki’s Intelligent Ride System (SIRS), which brings together a range of rider aids to improve control, safety and comfort. This includes a bi-directional quickshifter, updated cruise control, a five-inch TFT display, ride-by-wire throttle and USB/12V charging ports.

Riders can select different traction control settings including the dedicated G (Gravel) mode, which allows controlled rear wheel slip on loose surfaces. Rear ABS can also be switched off for better feel in gravel conditions.

Additional systems include Hill Hold Control, Low RPM Assist, Combined Brake System and Motion Track ABS, which adjusts braking performance based on lean angle and road conditions.


ENGINE & PERFORMANCE

Power comes from Suzuki’s proven 1037cc liquid-cooled 90-degree V-twin, delivering 79kW and 100Nm. The engine meets Euro 5 standards and now features hollow sodium-filled exhaust valves to reduce combustion temperatures and improve durability.

Dual spark technology is used in each cylinder for smoother combustion, easier starting and more linear throttle response. Revised gearing in first and sixth gears improves both low-speed control and highway cruising.


SUSPENSION & CHASSIS

The V-STROM 1050RJ runs fully adjustable KYB inverted front forks and a link-type rear shock with preload adjustment. The aluminium twin-spar frame and swingarm are lightweight yet rigid, providing stability on the road and control off it.
